Since this weekend was a long holiday weekend, Jessica & I had talked about taking a trip to get away for a few days. But then I found out that my final exam was going to be on Friday night, & that kind of put a damper on things. Plus, Jessica has been traveling a lot for work lately, so hopping on another plane or driving hours to get somewhere didn't sound very appealing. So we decided to take it easy & just have a relaxing girls weekend. She came home from Chicago, & we planned a much-needed day of pampering yesterday instead. I found a good deal on Groupon for a "Day at the Spa" for two that included a massage, deep conditioning hair treatment & blowout, & either a manicure/pedicure or a facial.
But first, Jessica wanted to make a trip out to the farm to see all the kittens:

Then we were off to the spa! I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but the spa was a cute little place over in MO that was owned by an older lady. It was originally a florist, but she remodeled it & turned it into a spa & boutique.
It was such a relaxing day, & the ladies provided great customer service (notice the little glass of wine in Jessica's hand ;-) haha). Afterwards, we went out to eat at O'Charley's & then headed to
Bailey's Chocolate Bar for a little dessert:
It's always nice to spend some quality time with the BFF, & a little pampering never hurts either ;-)
